Agnes and Arthur Care Home news - a round up of what we have been up to over the last month in our wonderful care home in Bradeley, Stoke on Trent

1st June
We really enjoyed our Violin concert last Friday. Our Violinist even played Happy Birthday for our lovely Manager Sarah! Our residents also made some lovely Birthday cards for her. Happy Birthday again Sarah, from all of us!
This week we also went out and about on a little shopping trip to Asda. Some of our residents have also been really enjoying cuddling our gorgeous, life-life baby doll and reminiscing about having young children.
To keep active we also built our new basketball hoop and had a game of indoor basketball - which is great for our hand-eye coordination skills.
Our residents also created some beautiful stained glass window artworks this week - they are lovely and we really enjoyed working with the bright colours.
24th May
A week of Spring Activities at Agnes and Arthur!
The lovely Spring weather has meant that we've been able to get outside and enjoy planting new flowers with our Gardening Club, as well as tidying up the garden after a long winter. The new flowers are so colourful and they make us all smile.
We've also been able to take a trip to the shops with some of our residents, and have enjoyed cold shandies and wine spritzers out in the sunshine
18th May
First of all, we wanted to say a really big thank you to John Garside and Son for sending us these beautiful, knitted Twiddling Mitts. Our residents have really been enjoying them! Thank you!
This week Residents have also been busy painting and sticking retro sweet pictures on our new sweet display stand...
We also wanted to say a big congratulations to our Coronation raffle winners!
16th May
We've been having a great time with our Spring Activities at Agnes and Arthur
We worked on some beautiful arts and crafts and created a dementia board, as well as a lovely Birthdays board.
We also had board games and book club last Friday to keep us all thinking, talking and puzzling
10th May
Our Coronation Party at Agnes & Arthur
We had the most wonderful time
at our Coronation Party - full of big smiles, crowns, flags, food, music and fun.
A big thank you to everyone who came along and made it such a lovely day and a HUGE thank you to all our staff for all their hard work - it was a big success!
