Safe Harbor care homes new care collection and drop off service
Safe Harbor have recently introduced a new care collection and drop of service, where required. This can be used for respite (short stay) care and permanent care home placements. We understand how stressful it can be trying to arrange care, and this is why we have introduced this service. There is now no need to be worried about arranging transport any longer, as we will happily arrange everything for you.
This means anyone who requires placement into our Stoke on Trent care homes or Staffordshire care home can be picked up in specialist transport from their home, and back again.
Agnes and Arthur, Florence House and The Place up Hanley are all excited to offer this great new service.
Our collection service operates 7 days a week and can be arranged on the same day if needed, and where possible – subject to other commitments of the transport. This service is not solely for admissions and discharges into one of our wonderful care homes but is also able to support people with trips out to the shops, places of interest and appointments.
The specialist vehicle which is used is adapted for wheelchair access and has a tail lift to support getting on and off the vehicle. The vehicle also has a coffee machine to make your ride comfortable and pleasant. You can be reassured that the driver of this vehicle has a full clean license, a recent enhanced DBS (police check), training on moving & handling and safeguarding vulnerable adults.
There will be a small cost to this service, but it is very reasonable. The cost depends on the distance and time taken to support with the transport.
