Care Funding and Eligibility - Arranging Care Home Funding

The social services will carry out a financial assessment in order to determine
weather the person is to be local authority funded or privately funded.

Please click here to see our page on care costs for more information.

If local authority funded, the social services will determine what they pay and what
the residents contribution is. The resident contribution is generally based on the
pension income.

We may ask the resident/ residents family to pay a 'Top Up' towards their fees based
on the level of care required and services / facilities provided.

We are committed to providing value for money within our comprehensive and caring
service:

The fees charged are dependent on:

  1. The type of facility required, and
  2. The type of care package and needs of the individual Service User

Depending on the personal financial situation, a Service User can either pay the
fees privately or receive assistance by the Local Authority or NHS.

The current rules can be complicated and specific advice is available from the Home
Manager or your could enquire via email by clicking here.
