Respite Care - Short Stay
We can offer residents a temporary (also known as respite) stay for periods of a week or two, providing a good opportunity for a break for both the carer and the cared for. It can help to cover periods of time when a carer is unavailable such as holidays or simply provide a change of scenery and social opportunities for the cared for.
Everyone deserves a break and respite stay can give you exactly that. Safe Harbor provides a safe, comfortable and homely environment with the reassurance of 24-hour expert care being available. Personalised care plans are put in place for every resident to ensure that they receive the care that they need.
If you are taking care of somebody, it's important to remember to care for yourself too. It’s easy to allow your own health and well-being to be compromised when your focus is on looking after someone else. Respite care is a great way to give yourself a well-earned break and a good way of recharging your batteries.
If you are the one who needs permanent care, taking a break from your usual routine and carer can really make a difference. Or, if you live independently, short stay care could give you the temporary help you need whilst recovering from an illness or operation, until you feel well enough to return home.
We can provide care to those privately funding their stay themselves or if they are funded by the local authority, and with any length of care provided we offer a FREE health needs assessment as part of any stay with us. Our health needs assessment gives us the ability to reach out to various healthcare professionals such as Doctors, Nurses, Chiropodists, Opticians, Dietitians, and others who can assess the needs of those in our care and support them with any requirements that they might have.
Day Care
We are able to offer day care sessions at all of our care homes, available at times to suit carers and the cared for. These sessions are ideal for carers who need just a little time out for personal reasons. Day care is also suitable for people who may usually require home care who wish to get out and about for the day, while knowing they will be in safe hands.
We are able to provide a wide variety of services to meet all the needs one may require for the day, such as a selection of nutritious meals, entertainment and activities and personal care provisions provided by specialised quality care staff.
