256 Dementia Friends made through Safe Harbor in 2016 so far

Safe Harbor group of Care Homes continues to support the Alzheimer’s Society initiative of Dementia Friends by providing Information Sessions which are helping to change the way people think, act and talk about dementia.

Viv Hemmings – Training Manager and Dementia Friends Champion, continues to successfully deliver information sessions on a monthly basis. Our initial goal was 100 Dementia Friends within the first year; but with the support of relatives, friends and our dedicated team of care staff – we have exceeded our target with 2 months to go!!

Every Dementia Friend we make is another step towards the Alzheimer’s Society reaching 4 million Dementia Friends by 2020.
