2019.11.01 - Pet Therapy Thumb.jpgResidents from a Safe Harbor care home in Stoke-on-Trent recently had a special visitor of the canine variety.

Bella, the Director's puppy, stopped by The Place Up Hanley care home, located in Bucknall.

Every resident got to spend time with Bella, as she playfully wandered around the home and greeted everyone she met.

Pet Therapy has been proven to boost the mood and well-being of people suffering with Dementia and helps to improve social inclusion in those who otherwise may struggle to form bonds.

Safe Harbor care homes often have pet therapy sessions ranging from visits from residents, family and staff pets, to specialist pet therapy visits from local organisations.
