2019.06.20 - Llandudno Trip Thumb.jpgSafe Harbor residents and staff from several care homes in Stoke-on-Trent joined together this week for a coach trip to a popular seaside town in North Wales.

Residents and carers from The Place Up Hanley, Agnes and Arthur, Florence House and Haversham House travelled together by coach to the seaside resort of Llandudno.

Packed lunch and refreshments were passed around on the coach shortly after leaving Stoke-on-Trent.

On arrival the weather was warm and inviting. Everyone set off for a stroll along the famous Llandudno Pier where they browsed the shops and enjoyed the amazing views of the Great Orme and the beach.

After taking in the sights from the pier, several groups split up to explore Llandudno town and the seafront, stopping off to do some shopping and to find a place to eat.

Residents decided to sit down outside a traditional seaside takeaway to enjoy some fish and chips, all the while keeping a lookout for any hungry seagulls that might descend to steal a chip or two. Some residents even had an ice cream to cool off in the summer heat.

The coach returned to collect head back home shortly after everyone had finished eating, with everyone having had a thoroughly good day.

Transport was provided by Copeland's Tours, an experienced family-run tour company based in Stoke-on-Trent. The driver did a great job of helping residents on and off the coach using their specialist disabled access equipment.

Residents are looking forward to more trips in the future. If you would like to see more of what is going on in Safe Harbor care homes you can like our Facebook Page.
