Having managed care homes and worked extensively in quality assurance, he brings both hands-on expertise and a strong commitment to continuous improvement. Passionate about helping people reach their goals, Jorge is driven by a deep belief in person-centred care. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time outdoors and making memories with family and friends.

I am a dedicated, empathetic and hard-working Care Manager with 32 years’ experience in the care industry. I have had the opportunity to gain experience across a wide spectrum of services including mental health, learning disabilities, secure services and dementia homes, also managing a training department in a private hospital.
I am passionate about increasing standards of care and kindness through a collaborative working approach with all teams within the home to ensure the best person-centred outcomes for all residents residing at Florence House.

I have been the Registered Manager at the Place Up Hanley Care Home since September 2023. I have worked in various roles over the past 25 years in the adult social care sector.
It has been a pleasure working with The Place Up Hanley team, we have worked hard to improve the quality of care and outcomes for our residents.
Our vision is to provide opportunities for the staff team to be involved, learn, develop their skills and progress in their career. I welcome and appreciate feedback and suggestions to help the home continue to improve and go from strength to strength.

Anita began her career as a care assistant and has over 20 years of experience in care homes and the community, with a focus on dementia and palliative care. She holds a degree in complementary therapy and a Level 5 qualification in Health and Social Care. Anita joined Safe Harbor in 2015, progressing to Registered Manager in 2017 and later Group Compliance Manager in 2022. She is passionate about mentoring teams, driving quality, and sharing best practices to achieve outstanding, compassionate care across the group.

As Managing Director of Safe Harbor, a family-owned group of three elderly care homes in Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire, I bring 15 years of industry experience and a business management degree to my role. Having managed the business for five years and become Managing Director last year, I am dedicated to resident safety and service improvement, guided by our values: Safe, Together, Compassion, and Improving. I champion staff training and internal promotion, fostering a skilled, compassionate team. My mission is to ensure Safe Harbor remains a trusted, nurturing home, providing peace of mind for families and exceptional care for residents.
